Working for Toulouse-based developers GA Promotion we designed a new headquarters for the Mutuelle du Mans Insurance Company's Corporate University. On the basis of plans previously developed by CDA architects we conceived a new internal functional scheme of classrooms, welcome, study and relaxation areas and a large-scale flexible gathering space (the Forum). We developed the project's exterior massing as a series of oversailing roof planes uniting the whole and sheltering an accessible roof terrace linked to the entrance hall. We designed a complex sequence of spaces in the central volume including a cafeteria, informal discussion and study zones, fixed computer carrells and convivial study tables arranged around a central light well.
