STUDIO ANDREW TODD

Chapter in '30 Trees' book

'Ficus Carica' chapter in Ron Henderson's book '30 Trees and why landscape architects love them.'

Andrew Todd contributed -as the only architect in a gaggle of the world's leading landscape architects- a chapter in this wonderful book published by Birkhauser on the fig tree we shares our lives with at our studio in Burgundy. The tree -he explains- has anchored his family life and accepted and allowed to flow deep feelings of grief and attachment, whilst -at the same time- providing for exceptional fig chutney every other month of July. Edited by the studio's long-term collaborator Ron Henderson, the book is a compendium of wisdom and attentiveness from leading creators about individual being-types with whom they collaborate.
