Andrew Todd translated Marion Waller's book 'Artefacts Naturels' from French to English for publisher Nybrogade Press in Copenhagen.
Describing the capacity of the non-human world to create useful objects, tools and systems -many in collaboration with humans-, the book elaborates an argument about the immense complexity of intervening in large-scale natural systems for the purposes of 'restoration' or 'repair.'
For philosopher Emanuele Coccia (writing in the foreword) the text exhibits 'superhuman lucidity...this book embodies a secret revolution in philosophy.'
The book was launched in parallel with Andrew Todd's book 'The Clearing' in Copenhagen at Nybrogade Press headquarters, on a book tour of the United States organised by the Institut Francais, and at the Bartlett School in London at UCL.
